Fifth Grade Curriculum

Fifth grade is a big leap academically from the fourth grade. Math and Language Arts are challenging and students will be taking the CAASP in Language Arts, Math, and Science in the spring. The fifth grade team has very high expectations for our students which include coming to school by 8:00am, completing all homework and classroom assignments on time, and demonstrating respect for self and others at all times. The fifth grade teachers work very closely to ensure that we are all on the same page and that our students are receiving the best instruction possible. We use the following curricula for each subject area to guide us in our teaching, however always adjusting to meet the needs of our students and the rigorous Common Core Standards:

Language Arts: Benchmark Advance

Math: Envision

Science: Foss Science

Social Studies: Harcourt
