3rd Grade - Ms. Glikbarg
My name is Elisabeth Glikbarg. I have been teaching here at LEAD for 4 years; I taught kindergarten for 3 years and am now so excited to be teaching third grade. I went to college at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where I studied Spanish and education and received my teaching credential. My favorite part of school is meeting new people and developing lasting relationships with my students and colleagues!

MONTH AT A GLANCE
This month in math, we will be working on place value and using what we know to add and subtract multi-digit numbers. Please help your child practice their basic addition and subtraction facts to help them be more successful.
Telling Time is also a daily skill that many students still need to practice. Stop throughout the day and ask your child to tell you the time on an analog clock. Discuss time intervals and how time has passed and how many minutes until a certain acitivity will take place.
In reading, we are working on building reading stamina, to read more, for longer, and ways to make reading great! Find a great spot, pick a book you love, read long and strong, and talk to friends and family about what you read.
In writing, we will be crafting true stories of special moments from our lives.
In social studies, we will be learning about responsibilities of citizens in a community.
In digital arts and technology, we will be introducing Google Drive, where students will have their own login to create slideshows of what they have learned and word documents to type and publish their writing.
