Want to know more, find out how to get involved and more importantly come together and meet and greet? Come gather with old friends, new faces and LEAD School community members on Thursday, March 16th: There will be two gatherings, one from 8:10-9:10 AM and the other from 6:30-7:30 PM in the LEAD LGI! Current Board members, and Representatives from our Fall Festival will be on hand to Meet, Greet and Inform! Save the date and don’t miss out. Refreshments will be served.
LITERACY: Our staff continues their work with amazing coaching in Literacy and Mathematics. This work translates to a high level of instruction in the classroom and your children are the beneficiaries! Our READ A THON continues as children read for learning and pleasure and raise money for our Classroom Libraries and Materials. If you haven’t seen the manila envelope with the pink sheet attached for pledges, please take a look inside your child’s backpack and encourage this traditional and most worthwhile fundraising event. Many thanks to Zoya Salameh who organized the events with the help of many staff members and volunteers. Have you seen our Classroom Doors that represent our February and Dr. Seuss Day Theme of Cultural Diversity? If not, try to take a peek next time you are on campus!
AFTER SCHOOL: Our next session of Monday after school drama classes for upper grades begins in a few weeks. Don’t be left out as there is limited availability for this popular after school enrichment class. Coming also in a few weeks are “Chef It Up” and “Lego Creativity” After School Classes open to all grade levels. Look for the fliers in your Tuesday envelopes. The Diigital Arts after school enrichment class is up and running and now producing our daily broadcast of K O W L! Please make sure your children are to school on time so they are in their classrooms and ready to recite the Pledge and enjoy the latest school news, surveys and jokes.
SCHOOL DAY: CuriOdyssey continues their science based, hands on lessons with our TK-Grade 3 students. You never know what creature from the Museum may be coming our way; with all lessons based on the Next generation Science Standards, your children are being exposed to the best in science instruction.
