December, 2017

Dear LEAD Elementary School Parents, Guardians and Families,

As the Holiday season approaches, we wish you all the best from our LEAD staff and community. As opportunities continue to present themselves to us as a school community and help make our foot print on this gem of a school, you all and our most amazing staff are the heart and soul of all we do. Thank you! As we begin the month of December, it is a very busy time for all of us at home and at school. Please make sure to be “In the Know” and also calendar the dates below! Continue to keep in touch via our web site, marquee, e-blasts, phone blasts, Principal’s Newsletter and Thursday Packets that come home weekly. Also, please be sure to return the Thursday packet (plastic envelope with school calendar on it) to your child’s teacher after you have read the contents.

COOKIES AND KARAOKE, FRIDAY, DECEMBER 15th LGI: We will celebrate with holiday cheer at our PTA sponsored “Cookies and Karaoke Night” from 5:30-7:30 in the LEAD LGI. Read your updates on Konstella, sign up to volunteer and come join in the fun! Proceeds from this yearly event will help contribute to digital literacy, physical education and healthy activities, STEAM, field trips and many other programs that provide our students with the necessary tools to strengthen and enrich our educational environment.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES: Thank you for your attendance at our conference week that just concluded. If you missed a conference for any reason, please contact your child’s teacher and reschedule. These conferences are another opportunity for our home/school partnership and for you to be updated on your child’s progress and goals moving forward. We hope you enjoyed receiving our new standards based report cards that accurately reflect how your children are performing academically per the California State Standards.

TK/K REGISTRATION HAPPENING NOW: The early bird catches the worm! Registration is very early this year and we have already held 3 Wednesday afternoon registration days for TK/K for the 18-19 school year. If you know families in the area who will have TK/K students in the 18-19 school year, please let them know that registration this year is early! We also have school tours and the dates are below and on the LEAD website at
