Research shows that reading and writing proficiency is directly linked to student success. Children who do not read proficiently by the end of third grade are four times more likely to leave school without a high school diploma (Early Warning Confirmed: A Research Update on Third-Grade Reading. The Annie E. Casey Foundation, 2013 LINK TO http://www.aecf.org/resources/early-warning-confirmed/). At LEAD, our goal is to empower students by prioritizing literacy and ensuring that all students graduate withthe reading and writing skills needed to be successful throughout their education.

    • Student Programs at LEAD

All student programs at LEAD foster a culture of respect, empathy, responsibility, reporting and healthy play. Our LEAD community and family member are guided by the following: Take care of yourself - Take care of each other - Take care of this place.

    • LEAD School Uniforms

We had a successful start to wearing common dress at LEAD last year. Several parents and community members said that our students look so sharp in their uniforms! As a staff we feel it adds an academic tone and reduces distractions in and out of the classroom.
